Salary Amount or Range:
$38-$42/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (Paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

DescriptionA family in the Lower Haight is seeking an engaging, loving nanny for their sweet 3-year-old boy. Responsibilities inlcude picking him up from school and driving to after-school activities, engaging in play, light meal prep for the family + preparing one large batch meal once a week (such as a stew or soup), packing school lunches for the next day, light tidying, occasional errands, and child’s laundry.
Their ideal person is warm, compassionate, and has a strong understanding of children’s developmental stages. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record (family will reimburse for mileage).
The schedule is Monday to Thursday 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. + Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family can increase to 25 hours with an early start one day a week (such as coming in at 1 p.m. to help with meal prep and errands) as well as staying until 9p/10p one evening for a date night (preferably Monday or Thursday evening).
Experience Requirements
2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English
Fluency in French preferred but not required
Qualifications
COVID vaccinated + boosted
CPR Certified
TB and Tdap
Compassionate
Empathetic
Engaging
Understands behavioral and phases of development in young children
Prioritizes child’s care first, household tasks second
Can make at least a year commitment
Responsibilities
Driving from school to home/activities
Engaging in play
Meal prep / batch cooking – making one big soup/stew once a week
Prepare child’s lunches for the next day
Child’s laundry
Order groceries
Household errands – returning packages, etc.
Light tidying
Ideally can provide one date night per week (preferably Mon or Thurs) as part of guaranteed hours
