Schedule:
Monday to Friday generally 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. + 1/2 p.m. to 6/6:30 p.m. (family can gurantee up to 30-35 hours depending on candidate’s preference)
Salary Amount or Range:
$40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

DescriptionA family in Cow Hollow is seeking an engaging Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. Their children are 8 (boy) and 13 (girl) years old. Responsibilities include driving their kids to/from school and activities, running errands, meal planning and cooking for the children, keeping the house tidy, and laundry for the family. Their son has food allergies so it’s important to find someone who is vigilant and comfortable cooking for him.
The schedule is a split-shift Monday to Friday with 20-30 hours guaranteed depending on the FA’s preference. At minimum they need help starting at 7 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. with two nights per week (Mon. and Wed. ending at 6:30 p.m. due to choir practice).
Experience Requirements
2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English
Qualifications
COVID-vaccinated + booster
CPR Certified
TB, Tdap and flu vaccines up to date
Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimbure for mileage)
Friendly and engaging
Experience with school-age children
Self-starter / takes initiative without being told
Regard for health and safety of kids
Invested in building relationships with the children
Excellent communication
Responsible
Timeliness
Experience cooking for children with food allergies
Responsibilities
Driving to/from school and activities
Engaging with the children
Managing groceries; keeping the kitchen stocked
Meal prep for the children (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks)
Laundry for the family

Keeping the house tidy
