This role focuses on creating opportunities for cultural exchange, community building, and professional development through workshops, social events, and informational sessions. Key responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, managing marketing efforts, and evaluating program effectiveness to ensure alignment with the center's goals. The Programs Coordinator will collaborate with campus departments, student organizations, and external partners to enhance the international experience at UCLA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. This position is essential for promoting global understanding and connection within the UCLA community, contributing to the overall mission of the Dashew Center.Salary & Compensation*UCLA provides a full pay range. (Preferred)Proven ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, using appropriate English vocabulary and grammar in both individual and group settings. Skilled in engaging with a diverse range of students, faculty, administrators, and community groups at all levels. (Required)Demonstrated ability to write clearly, logically, and with proper grammar for promotional materials, newsletters, and various marketing communications. Skilled in creating content for public presentations and formal administrative reports. (Required)Ability to engage with administrators and staff on matters related to student and staff development. (Required)Working experience in program planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation focused on targeted student groups. (Required)Proven interest, ability, and experience in engaging with student groups, with a talent for fostering collaboration and driving collective efforts. (Required)Familiarity with student programs and activities in a large, diverse university environment. Proven ability to advise and collaborate with students on project development. (Required)Ability to build and nurture collaborative working relationships with colleagues in other campus departments and representatives from off-campus organizations. (Required)Ability to take the lead in program evaluation, liaison efforts, and event planning initiatives. (Required)Ability to develop new projects in alignment with departmental planning, strategic goals, and student needs.
