QualificationsDemonstrated experience (minimum of one year is preferred) in a higher education setting counseling/advising students on career, internship, and job search issues or in human resources/talent acquisition working in college recruiting. (Required)Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
(Required)Experience working with diverse populations.
(Required)Ability to work in collaborative and team oriented environment and the ability to multitask and thrive in a changing, dynamic environment.
(Required)Skill in planning and coordinating employer meetings, including employer events while encouraging student engagement.
(Required)Knowledge of occupational, career, and job information resources, technology,
and materials. Expertise in labor market, employment trends and recruiting strategies and techniques. (Preferred)Coursework in career development theories and practices, demonstrated proficiency in using career assessment instruments, working knowledge of career services management software (e.g., Handshake).
(Preferred)Ability to identify needs of unique customers; deliver specialized strategies and services to meet their challenges, based on lifestyle, ethnicity, physicality, etc.
(Preferred)Ability to conduct training sessions and make oral group presentations to provide information on various topics related to Industry knowledge, experiential learning, post- graduate, term-limit fixed term, fellowships, internship programs and international opportunities. (Preferred)Ability to communicate and market the services and programs of the Center to potential students, current students, employers, faculty, and administrators.
(Required)Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff of all levels, employers, faculty, students, and alumni. Working knowledge of Federal, State, International, and University regulations governing employment processes. (Required)Must be able to work weekends and evenings and travel as needed. (Required)
