Job Summary:
As the Wine Bar Supervisor / Lead Server at Lula Wine Bar, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service while prioritizing our curated wine and food offerings. You will lead and support bar staff, manage inventory control, and assist with ordering supplies to maintain an efficient and well-stocked wine bar environment. Your expertise in wine and food pairings will enhance the guest experience and contribute to the overall success of the bar.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Bar Staff:
Lead and mentor servers and support staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality service and adherence to wine and food standards.
Customer Service:
Engage with guests, ensuring their needs are met while providing knowledgeable recommendations about our wine selections and food pairings.
Inventory Control:
Assist in managing inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks, monitoring usage, and placing orders for wine and bar supplies as needed.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all wine, food and other beverage items are prepared and presented according to our high standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the wine bar area.
Event Coordination:
Assist with wine club releases and ensure all wine bar events run smoothly, creating memorable experiences for our patrons.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the General Manager and kitchen staff to create a seamless dining experience for guests, addressing any feedback or concerns promptly.
Staff Scheduling:
Assist in scheduling bar staff to meet operational needs, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
Ongoing Wine Training:
Servers are expected to participate in regular wine training sessions to enhance their knowledge of wine varieties, regions and pairing techniques, ensuring they provide informed recommendations and exceptional service to guests.
Training and Development:
Conduct ongoing training for wine bar staff on new wine selections, food pairings, other beverages, and customer service techniques.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years or older.
Previous experience in a supervisory or lead server role, preferably in a wine bar or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of wines, food pairings, and beverage service techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team effectively.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
