The Director, HR Employee Relations will provide strategic direction, leadership, and expertise in Employee & Labor Relations and will partner closely with Regeneron’s HR COE's, Compliance & Legal teams. This newly created role will establish programs, practices, and training to support adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations, and will be the definitive authority on global employee and labor relations matters. The preferred candidate will build consistent practices across our global locations, drawing on deep expertise in handling and adjudicating a wide range of ER cases that require differentiated sensitivity and prioritization.As a Director, Employee Relations a typical day may include:Develop guidelines, policies, and procedures for the proper handling of employee & labor relations issues and investigations in accordance with applicable employment and labor laws.Provide consultative support and guidance for HR leaders and senior executives in the education and counsel of all levels of supervision on employee and labor relations matters.Ensure proper and uniform interpretation and implementation of employee & labor relations practices across multiple global markets.Oversee the creation of employee relations tools, programs, and processes to mitigate factors negatively impacting organizational performance.Lead the development and implementation of a variety of qualitative and quantitative measures to track the effectiveness of employee & labor relations processes.Recommend and establish human resources policies and procedures.Examine and re-engineer employee relations operations and procedures, and develop and implement new strategies and procedures, as necessary.Coach and develop the newly formed team into a high performing organization.Create strategic training and organizational development plans to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of employees.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Lead ER-related projects in partnership with Technology partners, including implementing a global case management solution that will manage and track ER work efforts across all markets, while delivering robust reporting and analytics.Leverage continuous improvement principles to sustain long-term ER success.This role may be for you if you have:A proven, progressive track record managing HR teams and leading Employee & Labor Relations in complex, matrixed organizations.Strong knowledge of global laws pertaining to employment and labor matters.Superior leadership skills, including organization, project management, delegation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization, complemented with stellar negotiating and influencing skills with key stakeholders.Methodical and detail-oriented change advocate who can motivate teams to produce top-notch results in tight timeframes.To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with 12+ years of progressive Employee and Labor Relations experience, including but not limited to: grievance processing, performance management, and disciplinary activities. At least 10 years in an employee relations leadership role – leading global HR teams and ER Operations.
