DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, mission-driven
Information Systems Security Engineer/Engineering (ISSE)
in support of a USG big data program that Extracts, Transforms, and Loads (ETL) incoming datasets for use by numerous down-stream systems and analysts. The qualified candidate will be part of an Agile team of multi-disciplinary engineers who support an effort to increase the speed of data delivery for structured and unstructured data in the interest and support of national security objectives.RESPONSIBILITIESArchitects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls.Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies.Performs security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications.Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions.QualificationsREQUIREDActive TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, information engineering, or a related subject - OR - four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Experience with USG customer security policies and procedures.Experience with security framework tools, such as XACTA and Greenlight.Experience performing system scans with tools such as Nessus.Experience with Agile tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub.Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms, such as Databricks, AWS EMR, and Apache Spark to execute an Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) mission.Familiarity with Apache Nifi, Databricks, and AWS Cloud.Must be creative problem solver and have critical thinking skills.
