Application Engineer Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management of application projects, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables.
Mentor and develop the applications engineering team in areas like project management, vehicle integration, heat transfer, and cost management.
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, translating their requirements into product concepts and overseeing the transition to production.
Lead the use and training of advanced quality tools such as FMEA and advanced problem-solving techniques.
Oversee customer-driven design with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy in ECN/ECR submissions and materials analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, manufacturing, quality, suppliers) to support project execution and production.
Be the internal expert on CAD systems (Creo), Windchill PDM, and manufacturing/assembly design (DFM/DFA) techniques.
Travel domestically and internationally to support project needs.
Technical Requirements:
Extensive experience in the design and launch of OEM systems, especially cooling systems.
Expertise in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, manufacturing methods, and cost analysis.
Proficiency with CAD software (Creo) and PLM systems (Windchill PDM).
Strong understanding of heat exchanger design and manufacturing processes.
Ability to lead tolerance analysis and apply GD&T in manufacturing environments.
Experience and Education:
7-10 years of design experience in an OEM manufacturing environment, preferably with cooling systems.
At least 3 years in an engineering management role.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME); a Master’s in Engineering Management or MBA is preferred.
Experience with parametric CAD software, ideally Creo, and PLM systems.
