The Director of Organizational Development and Training will be responsible for building and leading the Organizational Development (OD) and Training function from the ground up. This role will design and implement strategies that foster organizational growth, employee development, and leadership effectiveness, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and values. The Director will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive culture change, talent development, succession planning, and performance management. This is a hybrid position based out of Ovation Healthcare’s corporate office located in Brentwood, TN.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement an overarching Organizational Development strategy that supports company growth, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.

Conduct organizational assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in structure, processes, and talent.

Lead change management initiatives and act as a key advisor on transformation projects.

Create and manage leadership development programs to cultivate future leaders across the organization.

Partner with HR and senior leadership to design and implement a robust succession planning process that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.

Provide coaching and development resources for high-potential employees.

Develop a comprehensive training strategy that supports onboarding, employee development, and ongoing skills training across all levels of the organization.

Design and implement learning solutions, including workshops, e-learning, and external training partnerships, tailored to meet business needs.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure continuous improvement.

Collaborate with HR and department heads to refine and enhance the company’s performance management system.

Introduce tools and frameworks to improve employee performance evaluations, feedback, and goal-setting processes.

Lead initiatives to improve organizational culture, including initiatives around employee engagement and inclusion.

Use analytics and data to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and assess the impact of OD and training programs.

Develop dashboards and presentations for senior leadership on the outcomes of OD initiatives and employee development programs.

Work Experience, Education, and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

7-10 years of progressive experience in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, or Training, with proven success in building programs from the ground up.

Strong expertise in organizational assessments, change management, and leadership development.

Experience designing and delivering learning and development programs across various formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning).

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.

Certifications in OD, Training, Change Management, or Leadership Coaching (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CPLP, Prosci).

Experience in high-growth or transformational environments.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-based with a typical business setting. This role may involve collaboration in virtual settings and participation in team meetings. Occasional off-site visits to other company locations may be required.

Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 15 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal travel may be required for specific events, conferences, or training sessions.
