Assistant Professor of Economics (Tenure Track) - Department of Economics & Business

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Economics and Business at the Colin Powell School of the City College of New York (CCNY-CUNY) is now inviting applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Economics, beginning in the Fall of 2025. We welcome candidates from any subfield of macroeconomics and international economics with strong skills in data analysis.

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue high-quality scholarship and teach courses in Macroeconomics, International Economics, International Trade, and courses based on data analysis and use of microdata. This includes introductory and/or core courses in economic theory at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as supervising MA students. The candidate is expected to contribute to the overall academic environment of the economics and business department and the college.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. degree in Economics or related field is required at the time of appointment.

Candidates should demonstrate a record of high-quality research and teaching.

COMPENSATION

Salary: $82,928 - $90,375. CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.
