The Chief of Staff is responsible for providing high-level support to the organization's CEO and overseeing daily operations. They will manage the CEO's schedule, assist with strategic initiatives, and play a key role in supporting the CEO during board meetings and fundraising activities. ResponsibilitiesActs as a strategic advisor to the CEOServe as the primary point of contact between the CEO, internal/external stakeholders, and the board of directorsManage the CEO's schedule, including organizing meetings, appointments, and board meetingsAssist in developing and implementing organizational goals and objectivesCoordinate and oversee special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEOMonitor and report on the organization's performance metrics to the CEO and boardConduct research and prepare reports for the CEO and the board as neededPrepare materials for board meetingsOversee the business functions of the organization, including human resources, accounting, auditing, payroll, development and communicationsCreates and maintains systems and processes to streamline operationsEstablishes standards and procedures for hiring and managing the office staff and personnel for the CEOSupervise other administrative staff and all contractorsOther duties as neededQualificationsAlignment to Voces Unidas’ missions5 to 7 years of professional experience, especially in the advocacy and policy spaceBachelor's degree in a related fieldProven experience in a leadership or executive support roleStrong organizational and communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of non-profit operationsAccess to a car with the ability to travel to the mountains at least once a month or as neededAble to work evenings and weekends, as neededAble to work from an office and in person (not a remote position)Very generous self-care timeHealth insuranceSki pass or stipend for recreation activitiesHousing stipend (must live in central mountains to qualify)OtherThis is NOT an entry-level job.
