This position is responsible for supporting WFP USA’s grassroots advocacy and engagement programing, with particular emphasis on an organization-wide initiative to expand support to WFP USA from young adults in the United States. The position will also serve as the Policy, Advocacy and Engagement team’s focal point for broader inter-departmental coordination efforts.About World Food Program USA

We have a make it happen attitudeWe are looking for applicants who embody these values and are invested in forwarding our mission.Why Join Us?We are a dynamic, forward leaning, financially stable organization.You will be joining an effective, committed, high-performing group of colleagues who are well-regarded in the community.This position will play a crucial role in aiding the organization in their mission of ending global hungerSupport the writing and cross-departmental coordination of grassroots advocacy campaigns, including post-campaign analyticsSupport the implementation and day-to-day management of WFP USA’s youth engagement strategy, focused on increasing outreach to next generation supportersSupport a cross-departmental youth engagement working group with participation across WFP USA business verticals to establish and monitor progress on young adult engagementAssist in the development of systems and processes for tracking and rewarding grassroots advocacy engagement, including the identification and stewardship of advocacy championsAssist in the development of advocacy and engagement content (policy campaigns, volunteerism, education) for website, emails, social media and other campaignsInitiate and manage external partnerships with universities, membership organizations and other partners that serve to advance the reach of WFP USA’s youth engagement initiative and broader advocacy and engagement effortsCreate quarterly and annual reports through Salesforce to evaluate performance and measure the effectiveness of the grassroots advocacy programParticipate in content meetings to collaborate with internal stakeholders and support the planning of advocacy campaigns usingMONDAY.com.Serve as afocal pointfor Policy, Advocacy and Engagement team inter-departmental efforts around public events, social media campaigns, publication review and internal planning.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree3-5 years of relevant work experienceExcellent writing, and communication skillsAbility to organize time, work independently, as well as follow direction, collaborate, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines on time and effectively.Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a teamInterest and knowledge of global hunger, humanitarian assistance and/or international development issuesStrong computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications. Salesforce or equivalent CRM system experience preferred
