Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 10+ years of finance experience OR Master’s degree and 8+ years of finance experience

5+ years of direct management experience

Amazon Physical Stores Finance seeks an analytical, results-oriented, and self-motivated financial leader to help build and expand our new and innovative store format, Amazon Go. Reporting directly to the WWGS Finance VP, this is a unique opportunity to lead a finance team across all facets of a standalone business including category management, store operations, and technology development. This fast-paced, dynamic team learns from the core operating and finance mechanisms and adopts into the Go business. This person will ensure strong controllership over reporting and financial processes to ensure that business decisions continually seek to maximize long-term free cash flow, as well as lead financial and operational analyses to identify insights for business improvement. An ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide data-based decisions and analysis as well as think strategically in a fast-changing environment while building an engaged and motivated financial team. Additional responsibilities include forecasting, monitoring of success metrics, and ad hoc financial support.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Partnering with Directors and Senior Managers to drive strategic initiatives and long-term success.

Leading an engaged and motivated finance team.

Creating, improving, and maintaining business/financial metrics, reports, and reviews.

Communicating financial and business results including variance analyses to senior business leaders.

Creating, improving, and maintaining financial models to evaluate new products and features.

Gathering analytical insights and developing financial frameworks that inform business improvement.

Manage reporting of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and operational performance metrics, including financial commentary.

5+ years of hiring, leading, and developing teams experience.

8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.

8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.

8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience.

5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience.

MBA, or CPA.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
