A leading, established full service public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Senior to join their practice. This opportunity is located in San Diego, CA and offers competitive benefits such as up to 5 weeks PTO.
Responsibilities:
Execute day-to-day activities of audit engagements, including planning and fieldwork. Review audit procedures performed by staff, ensuring objectives are met professionally and timely. Prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to management. Conduct technical research on engagement discrepancies and communicate relevant accounting and auditing matters. Develop and maintain client relationships, proactively gathering necessary audit information and identifying business improvement opportunities. Participate in in-house training, continuing education, and leadership development. Engage in firm recruiting events and assist in intern selection, training, and feedback. Assist in project planning and budget organization, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is communicated effectively. Achieve monthly and annual charge hour goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam. 2 years prior audit experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 55+ hours during busy seasons.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Experience with ERISA audits and audits under Uniform Guidance. Understanding of US GAAP and GAAS procedures and standards. Familiarity with accounting and audit software (CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, ProStaff, Teammate Analytics). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $105,000* *The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future.
