This position is a part of the larger Coordinators of Professional Development team, which partners with the Mississippi Department of Education in providing high-quality professional learning opportunities for schools, districts and various other agencies in the state of Mississippi.Role Summary

In this position, individuals will be required to:Research and create slide decks on various topics relating to his/her area of expertisePresent sessions in school districts, agencies, and at conferences throughout the stateAttend required meetingsComplete and submit various reportsCreate and facilitate online coursesPossess above average technology skillsExamples of Work Performed

Some of the day-to-day duties include:Facilitating virtual sessions via Zoom or TEAMsCompleting executive summary reportsCompleting travel reportsUpdating calendarsContacting and responding to emails from districtsProviding resources to schools and/or districtsPresenting in a face-to-face settingPerforming similar or related duties as assigned or requiredEssential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Researches and selects curriculum content, designs courses and prepares assessment tools regarding specific programs to align with objectives and strategyDisseminates course updates and newly created content with program stakeholders, solicits feedback and alters curriculum if appropriateServes as an initial point of contact and facilitates cross-unit communication with colleagues and accreditation resources to obtain relevant and accurate information for the programImplements and delivers program contentDirects operational logistics of specialized programming segments and communication materials under general supervisionEducation:
