Estate Summary:Family-owned and operated, high-end estate winery in Napa Valley is looking for an onsite ambassador and estate representative. This is a hospitality and Direct to Consumer position playing an integral role in a small and dynamic team.Job Qualifications:We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and self-motivated hospitality professional with sound knowledge of Napa Valley wine and, more generally, the world of fine wine.Direct to Consumer:Minimum 5 years of experience in Direct Sales and HospitalityDirectly interface with avid wine collectors and high net worth individualsProfessional/positive demeanorExceptional customer service skillsTimely follow upExcellent writing and computer skills (word processing, proficient in Excel, email)Familiarity navigating DTC e-commerce platforms and reportingFamiliarity with email campaign software e.g. Vertical ResponseAbility to navigate within HTML coding templateFamiliarity with state shipping laws and ShipCompliant platformHospitality:Experience in a luxury hospitality environment (fine dining or high-end winery).Demonstrated passion and dedication to learning about the world of fine wine. Candidates with some formal wine education preferred.An understanding of the requirements needed to provide a quality, high-touch experience.Commitment to learning the estate aesthetic and preferred presentation.Willingness to be flexible in a dynamic work environment.Possess a team mentality with an ability to take the initiative and/or provide support for all hospitality needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Direct to Consumer – 50%:Point of contact for DTC sales and inquiriesPre-Release outreach (Spring and Fall)Release coordination (Spring and Fall)Mailing List Cleanup/PrepAutomatic Allocation ProcessingOrder suppliesVendor CommunicationSku Setup/Order TestingEmail campaign coordination and testingWebsiteSales Analysis and ReportingAnnual BudgetingComplianceNetworking to drive businessHospitality - 50%:Thorough understanding and ability to communicate the vision and story in a professional and engaging way.Ensure that all tastings are set up well in advance of scheduled appointments. This includes:Decanting wineFood preparationTable settings/MenusAssist with procuring agreed upon food for each tasting.Coordinate with third-party purveyors and our in-house chef for events.Assist with event execution as needed.Make sure all hospitality areas are clean and suitable for guests.Make sure all hospitality vehicles are in good condition for daily tours.Assist in maintaining all fresh floral arrangements in the hospitality areas.Follow up in a timely manner with guests post visit.Physical Qualifications:Able to travel by car and operate hospitality vehicles.Able to sit at and operate a computer.Able to lift standard hospitality supplies (including but not limited to 9L cases of wine).Able to walk in vineyards and other uneven surfaces. Able to work in a kitchen with cooking tools.Other Qualifications:Valid California driver’s license and be insurable by the company.Willing to work 5 days per week (Tuesday through Saturday) and additional time as requiredMust be 21 years of ageThe above information is representative of the work performed in this position, however it is not all-inclusive.
