Under general direction of the Sr. Infrastructure Architect, the Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the ed to the Georgia Region Data Warehouse infrastructure design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance. These activities involve managing the data warehouse hardware, software, network, and security infrastructure; ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation of the data warehouse, making changes to comply with KP security and design standards; integrating internal and external systems/data into the data warehouse, implementing ETL processes. This role also involves maintaining applications that produce analytical data for the Data Warehouse.

Minimum Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited university / college in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience. Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience with relational databases, including query writing. Minimum of 2 years of software development/programming. Customer-oriented with good interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications

1years of data warehouse-related experience. Microsoft SQL Server platform experience. Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Maintain and operate the data warehouse infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted service and availability for all users and processes. This role monitors and manages data processes moving millions of records after hours and overnight (5pm-7pm, 1am-6 am). If some data set fails or is delayed, remediation steps need to be taken asap and affected users need to be notified. Remediation steps may involve coordinating work by multiple national IT teams and vendors. The Jr Infrastructure Architect must possess skills to trouble-shoot large data sets, such as finding 100,000 missing records in a table that stores 600 million. Under the guidance of the Sr. Infrastructure Architect, develop and manage movement of data into and from the data warehouse and external systems, landing zones and vendors. Monitor the data warehouse to ensure its uptime and availability. Ensure disaster readiness and initiate steps to resolve any outages. Ensure that the data warehouse infrastructure complies with KP standards, including security of the data moving in and out of the data warehouse. Conduct infrastructure upgrades and updates according to the plan laid out by the Sr. Infrastructure Architect. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and run regulatory data feeds. Communicate any outages, delays, or changes to the data environment, such as the downtime to patch the servers or to perform an Epic upgrade. Coordinate with other data warehouse stakeholders to ensure overall health and performance of the data warehouse infrastructure. Monitor DWH performance, reliability, availability, and recoverability of the DW environment. In partnership with the vendors and KP IT, evaluate, select, test, and optimize BI/DW-related hardware and software for performance, reliability, and compliance.
