Description
Function Summary:
The maintenance planner scheduler is responsible for improving the work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of labor, parts, and materials. The maintenance planner scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work performed in all facility areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists coordinates and evaluates the scheduling of Asher's Chocolates preventive maintenance program.
2. Creates, reviews, plans, and schedules all PM (preventive maintenance) activities.
3. Checks orders to ensure the priority is realistic and provide practical lead time, cost, and other coding for accuracy.
4. Develops an integrated maintenance work schedule for the Maintenance Staff and Team Leader.
5. Works primarily through e- maintenance CMMS system.
6. Procures parts, helps with inventory parts control, and issues necessary parts- ensures parts are checked out properly.
7. Utilizes the ROSS system for creating and closing work orders based on production demands.
8. Uses ROSS system to identify and issue materials necessary for each work order created.
9. Tracks materials issued for each work order by lot numbers, and ensuring that the lot numbers assigned are within quality specifications, and that the issued lots are being used in products.
10. Reviews previous day's work packages to check for follow up work and to ensure work orders are correctly closed out.
11. Meet production deadlines, maintain cost control goal.
12. Must bring a positive attitude (can do and what can I do to help) to the position.
13. Maintains a positive disposition and attitude when interacting with Asher's team members.
14. Performs other job-related duties in area of responsibility as assigned.
Requirements
Work Environment/ Physical Demands:
•Employee will perform job duties in a manufacturing environment and must be
comfortable with daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature ranging
from 60-100 degrees.

Consistently lift, stack, push or pull boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.

Frequently required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn over an 8 hour shift.
Accountabilities:
1. Responsible to Maintenance Manager
1. Must be able to work and interact with all departments in all levels
2. Develops a proactive approach to creating a continuous improvement environment.
3. Develops and modifies, with the aid of the maintenance staff, job plans for each PM.
4. Examines unplanned work orders and determines the best way to accomplish the work.

Education:
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years' experience in a high-volume maintenance and/or manufacturing environment
Experience:
1. Mechanical/electrical background is necessary.
2. Prior maintenance of food processing equipment preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Strong math skills, computer skills, and presentation skills
2. Ability to prioritize and organize work based on changing and challenging deadlines. Strong leadership and interpersonal (customer service) skills.
3. Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software
4. Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
