Scope of PositionThe Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and overall success of daily manufacturing operations, overseeing personnel, resources, and equipment to meet productivity and quality goals. This role involves driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational effectiveness, and fostering a positive work environment that supports collaboration and growth.ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance:Adheres to and enforces all safety, health, quality, GMP, and Company policies and recognized practices.Leads plant safety initiatives, including safety training, audits, and employee involvement programs.Quality Assurance:Drives quality standards by implementing corrective actions, overseeing new product qualifications, and participating in internal and external audits.Develops corrective action plans to address quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.Personnel Management:Oversees hiring, training, and development of plant personnel to support organizational goals.Encourages a team-oriented, open-door environment that fosters growth and accountability.Financial Performance:Monitors and manages plant costs to align with budgetary standards.Reviews department operating statements and makes adjustments to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.Customer & Sales Collaboration:Maintains strong relationships with customers, collaborating on systems improvements and cost reductions.Coordinates with sales and customer service teams to meet and maximize production goals and plant utilization.Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement:Oversees production planning to ensure customer demands are met efficiently.Leads the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans aligned with plant and company objectives.Utilizes Operational Excellence tools to drive continuous improvement across departments.Project Management:Acts as Project Manager for new initiatives, including equipment and mold installations.Ensures successful execution of special projects as needed.Inventory Management:Participates in physical inventories in alignment with corporate guidelines, ensuring accuracy and accountability.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in plant management or manufacturing.Minimum of five years in an operations supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong leadership.Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Kaizen methodologies is preferred.Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills, capable of engaging with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in computer usage and typing.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure while maintaining high customer service standards.Strong collaborator with a proactive approach to team objectives.Additional Requirements:Regular attendance, punctuality, and reliable presence.Up to 25% travel may be required#LI-DNI
