VP of Construction

With operations in Israel, Poland, and the United States, the Energix group of companies has brought online over 1GW, with a pipeline of more than 7GW, leading the green revolution in the energy sector with its innovative solar and wind energy generation projects.The Role:The VP of Construction will be based in our Arlington, Virginia headquarters. In this role you will lead the construction management team for utility scale solar for our company's projects. The Director of Construction will oversee, coordinate, and manage the company's renewable energy construction project portfolio.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:The VP of Construction is anticipated to have the following duties and responsibilities:Oversees all day-to-day operations and strategic direction of large, utility scale solar construction programs as well as lead a team of high performing professionalsSignificantly contributes to creating and maintaining best in class policies and proceduresEstablishes and maintains supply chain relationshipsLeads, manages, develops staff, across multiple utility scale solar construction projectsProvides guidance and project leadership ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectationsDirects as many as 25+ external vendors per project comprising General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.Strategic Planning: Setting the strategic direction for construction projects and ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals.Project Management: Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Team Leadership: Leading and developing a team of construction professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.Financial Oversight: Managing the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with construction projects.Quality Assurance: Ensuring that construction projects meet all quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies.Continuous Improvement: Implementing processes and practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in construction operations Leads in developing and executing effective contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentationLead project teams including Project Managers, Project Management Assistants, Site Superintendents and SubcontractorsManage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to project close-outEducation and Experience:Degree in construction management or related field preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.10+ Years of experience in commercial construction project management or developmentPMP or other project management certification preferredWork Location, Remote Work, and Travel:This position will be based in the Arlington, VA.
