Position Overview:
As a Planning Engineer at Linxon, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning and delivery of our engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with the project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure that all projects are planned, scheduled, and executed within scope, time, and budget. Your work will support key decision-making processes and contribute to achieving project milestones and objectives. Linxon offer in-house and external learning & training opportunities for skill improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and maintain Level 1-4 project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6), ensuring the integration of engineering, procurement, and construction timelines. Should be able to develop effective Work Break Down Structure (WBS) for scope split and should be able to drive the schedule detailing process with Stake Holders. Should understand Critical Path Method (CPM) for schedule development.Progress Monitoring:
Track project progress and performance against established baselines, identifying schedule risks and variances and propose corrective actions.Resource Allocation:
Analyze resource needs and ensure optimal allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives.Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed progress reports, schedule forecasts, and performance dashboards for project stakeholders, including management, clients, and external partners. Can generate S- curve, scenario schedule, variance analysis, manpower / resource histogram, weekly monthly reports internal external, ad hoc reporting as per project requirements.Risk Management:
Identify scheduling risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies. Participate in Risk workshops under the guidance of Planning Manager and prepare schedule for SRA (Schedule Risk Analysis). Basic Knowledge of SRA technique is an added plus not a mandatory requirement.Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure alignment on project schedules and deadlines. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience:
3-5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls within the engineering or construction industry.Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Primavera P6 . Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficiency in MS Project is an added benefit.Knowledge:
Strong understanding of project management principles, Planning & Scheduling techniques, cost control, and risk management. Familiarity with the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of large-scale projects. Should be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of its work in proposal & bid environment.Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Certifications:
Certification in project management and planning (such as PMP or PMI-SP) is a plus but not mandatory.What We Offer:
