Executive Director of Admission (SCAD, Atlanta, GA): Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SCAD Atlantas admission and recruitment operations. The Executive Director of Admission works closely with Executive Directors at other locations to assist in planning and carrying out strategies supporting SCADs mission and vision, ensuring consistency in policies and procedures, and upholding SCAD admission standards.
Duties: Manages the daily operations of the SCAD Atlanta admission office. Maintains SCAD Atlanta admission staff schedule to ensure adequate office coverage and participation in admission, recruitment and other evening and weekend events at SCAD Atlanta and other locations. Meets regularly with SCAD Atlanta directors and managers to monitor ongoing activity. Addresses areas of concern with corresponding Savannah-based executive directors to uphold SCAD admission standards, reach solutions, and ensure consistency in policies and procedures. Manages admission decision and final sign-off on SCAD Atlanta freshman, transfer, graduate and international files. Manages execution of marketing strategies focused on location specific events and programs for prospective students of all market segments with primary emphasis on quality enrollments. Helps to create and maintain a collegial work environment and welcoming atmosphere to ensure positive visitor experience. Works collaboratively with the recruitment team to ensure that all activities for targeted recruitment are identified and/or created and appropriately staffed including on and off campus events. Maintains effective communication plan and customer service for applicants, encouraging completion of files, file review, and subsequent enrollment. Participates with Savannah-based executive directors in strategic planning. Coordinates with enrollment communications team regularly to ensure current SCAD Atlanta information is being disseminated via social media, print pieces, etc. Leads and coordinates enrollment management budget planning and implementation, expense reports and purchase requisitions for SCAD Atlanta. Works with Savannah-based executive directors to prepare and maintain training manuals and processes for SCAD Atlanta staff. Leads and coordinates the interviewing, hiring, training and assessment of SCAD Atlanta enrollment staff. Meets regularly with Savannah-based executive directors, as well as the vice president for SCAD Atlanta, and senior vice president for student success and enrollment to report on progress and consider new recruitment and enrollment initiatives. Works with faculty and staff across the university to help with a seamless transition of new students into the university in order to promote retention and graduation. Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment reports. Monitors recruitment staff contact with prospective students to assure quality and appropriateness. Alternately hosts weekly enrollment management staff meetings to report on progress and bring forth any concerns. Promotes teamwork and works cooperatively with all staff, faculty, students, parents, teachers, and alumni. Provides insight and makes recommendations to contribute to institutional effectiveness and advancement. Participates in all special events and travels as needed. Performs other duties as assigned to assure success of the department and to carry out the mission of SCAD. Environment.
Bachelors degree in marketing or related field of study. Two yrs of exp in an admission or recruitment position. Experience must include leadership position within the admission and recruitment field of higher education.
