DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy to students as specified in the students IEP. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Screen students informally to determine the need for or extent of formal evaluation procedures. *\ *Evaluate the OT needs of students when indicated and provide a written report of results. *\ *Consult with school personnel and outside members of the medical community as necessary for placement and programming information. *\ *Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives for students eligible for OT services. *\ *Adapt equipment used in the classroom to meet the individual academic needs of the student. *\ *Assist the classroom teacher in understanding student needs and making recommendations for the adaptation of assignments or activities when requested. *\ *Attend IEPs, staffing\'s, reviews, etc. on assigned students. *\ *Maintain compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to special education services. *\ *Maintain state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. *\ *Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Exceptional Student Services. \ *\ \ *
