Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.
Job Description
Management and control of a production area (production unit) to achieve the specifications (sales, earnings, inventories, rejects, personnel costs, quality, etc.) with constant further development of all influencing factors (personnel, processes...)Ensuring the onboarding, assessment and further development of employees by the subordinate managersLong-term planning in terms of personnel, machine capacity, processes, etc. (e.g. OPSP, CAPEX)Independently ensuring effective customer communicationProactive cooperation with internal and external interfaces (e.g. plant management, quality, HR, customers) and sister departments and plantsPlanning and optimizing investments for production expansion and optimization independentlyEnsuring up-to-date and audit-compliant production documentationResponsible for continuous improvement (technology and organization of work) and coordination of GMS activitiesCost center responsibilityKPI responsibility and ensuring reportingRelevant KPI:Daily performance / performance reporting (OEE)Sales volumeRejects/ good partsComplaintsOrder change / time expenditurePersonnel deployment (Manning)Occupational safety5 S audits
Qualifications
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and/or 7+ years in experience in a comparable position with personnel and budget in a manufacturing environmentExpert knowledge of managing and controlling a production area, including budget, cost and personnel responsibilityExpert knowledge in personnel management and qualificationExpert knowledge in the areas of resource and operational planningGood knowledge of production processesGood user knowledge in the field of (production) indicator systemsGood written and spoken English knowledgeGood IT user knowledge (e.g. MES / SAP, MS Office)Very high leadership motivationVery high performance and organizational motivationVery high action orientation, conscientiousness and flexibilityStrong sociability and team orientationVery high emotional stability, resilience and self-confidencePerformance management (KPI, performance/goal control)Moderation and conduct of negotiationsHigh end entrepreneurial thinking and actingKnowledge of problem-solving methods (KT, Six Sigma, etc.)Safe application of quality methods (FMEA, Ishikawa, Lean, CIP, etc.)
