The Art Therapist guides patients to use self-expression and art making to explore loss, promote self-esteem, build autonomy, and cultivate developmentally appropriate coping skills. The Art Therapist has the skill and knowledge to conduct thorough assessments and implement developmentally and psychosocially appropriate art therapy interventions for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients and their families. The Art Therapist must have the skills to provide emotional support, reflective listening, and therapeutic interventions during individual and/or group art therapy sessions while maintaining appropriate therapeutic relationships. Supervision of volunteers and students and provision of introductory guidance to interns as appropriate is also required.

Minimum Qualifications

Department Specific Job Scope
