Assembly Assistant

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Assembly Assistant to join our growing team. In this entry level position, you will assist shop supervisors and project managers with a variety of tasks, while learning the basics of manufacturing including how to operate machinery. If you are willing to learn new skills, enjoy working with your hands you could be an ideal fit for this Assembly Assistant job.Assembly Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:Provide general assistance around the shop, including technical tasks and assembly of small delicate itemsClean and maintain equipment as directedProvide assistance to shop supervisors and the quality inspection team as neededOperate equipment such as drill press, tachometer, calibration equipmentUtilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, height gages, and micrometersAssembly Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredPrevious experience in manufacturing or shop work, including metal or wood shop classes preferred but not requiredAptitude for mechanicsFamiliarity with hand toolsCapacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasksStrong communication skillsExceptional hand-eye coordinationPhysically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 30 poundsWhat We Offer:On the job trainingFlexible scheduling 2-3 days per weekFirst shift work hoursNo weekends!Competitive wagesAdvancement opportunities availableEmployee Assistance ProgramPlease DO NOT call
