The Nexus Water Group team has an opportunity for a

Human Resources Manager.

The HR Manager is in support of Field Operations and Corporate support functions to help create a strong work culture while building and executing HR strategies that enable the business to achieve annual objectives and long-term growth plans. This includes implementing staffing plans to meet business needs. Working and partnering with managers and employees on positive employee relations. Will also lead HR programs such as performance reviews, promotions, and succession planning. You will also work to improve organizational design and structure, provide change leadership and management coaching, and deliver management training.

Work Location and Schedule

This position will be primarily based at our office in

Fairbanks, AK

. Minimum 3 days per week, with up to 2 days of work-from-home.

What you'll do

Work with management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.Work collaboratively with the HR Team and cross functional leaders on the delivery of HR Support and Services to the Business Unit.Serve as a link between management and organized employees by handling questions, interpreting contract language; represent the business unit in matters such as complaints, grievances, and policy changes.Identify, attract and retain talent through various recruitment methods.Partner with leaders on organizational design, succession planning, and talent assessmentReview and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience.Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities and address employee issues.Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balanced perspective.Implement/administer/interpret corporate policies/programs/procedures.Partner with managers to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential.Provide compensation support to address internal equity concerns, promotions, etc.Manage and resolve complex employee issues, conducting investigations where necessary.What you'll bring

Experience

Minimum 7 years experience in human resources, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations and HRIS Analysis in a decentralized, multi-state environment.Minimum 7 years experience in handling and/or advising labor relations matters including contract administration, interpretation, and grievance procedures.Education and Certifications

A degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Business Administration from a college or university required.Nice to Have

Professional Training in Collective Bargaining.SHRM-CP®, SHRM-SCP®, PHR® or SPHR® certification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
