Overview:
ReGenesis Health Care is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General Pediatrician to join our growing community health center. ReGenesis Health Care is a non-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) committed to improving access to high-quality care that is patient-centered and affordable. We offer primary care, behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy services and provide transportation and community health workers to meet the needs of our patients.
To be successful at ReGenesis Health Care, you will provide exemplary pediatric primary care to infants, children and adolescents up to age 18, including well-child evaluations, sick visits and management of chronic conditions. You will also provide clinical supervision and direction to other clinical staff and work within a team of health care professionals to positively impact the health and wellness of our patients.
Excellent salary and full-time benefits. No nights or weekends. Minimal after-hours calls.
Duties and Responsibilities :You will care for all patients regardless of payor source, ethnicity, gender, or medical condition.You will use all available resources in diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory and radiological testing, in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.You will provide primary medical care by caring for all pediatric patients in accordance with your medical specialty as assigned by ReGenesis Health Care.You will develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and / or referral, including hospitalization where necessary.You will stress the importance of preventive health care measures.You will confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients, and patient's families concerning treatment and care of patients.You will refer those cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility for assuring that continuity of care is provided.You must be willing to collaborate with and provide clinical supervision for Nurse Practitioners as the need arises.You will recommend the Health Promotion / Disease Prevention activities required by the U.S. Public Health Services.You will complete timely documentation in the EMR for each patient encounter and review patient medical records for accuracy, and completeness as outlined in policy for ensuring timely medical record documentation.Requirements
Graduate from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine / Doctor of Osteopathy with Specialty in Pediatrics.South Carolina license to practice medicine.Board Certified in Pediatrics.Completion of an approved residency program in Pediatrics.Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center is preferred.Experience with the Patient-Centered Medical Home model is preferred.Prior EMR experience with eClinicalWorks is desirable.
