The RSM provides input and executes the sales strategies for assigned territories as well as provides leadership to the Sales team. This team member is a key link between sales operations, credit operations, and senior leadership.Responsibilities:About the role:Set goals and drive performance of the regional sales teamProvide on going evaluation, training, education, and assistance to the assigned DAR teamMake joint sales calls with Sales team members to support key relationships or enhance the opportunity for new business, as well as assess and find coaching opportunitiesEvaluate and balance territory assignmentsAssist each DAR in developing a strategic approach to managing and growing volume within their assigned territoriesEnsure sales operations are operating in accordance with company objectivesSupport GM Financial's strategic initiatives throughout the region and ensure consistent support from entire Sales teamCommunicate to management the territory's objectives, strategies and operational results on a timely basisWork with Regional Credit Managers to build a team approach to dealer management and enhance communication and cooperation between organizationsSupport GM Financial's strategic initiatives throughout the region and ensure consistent support from entire Sales teamPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:What makes you an ideal candidate?Extensive knowledge of dealership operations and indirect auto finance industry requiredExtensive knowledge of the retail automobile finance industry, laws related to collateral documentation and credit underwritingKnowledge of consumer lending policies and procedures, knowledge of credit investigation / verification processesWorking knowledge of data analytics and data miningAdvanced knowledge of marketing and operational trends and tacticsAdvanced working knowledge of Excel and Salesforce.comAbility to positively motivate, lead, coach and develop othersAdvanced Excel features such as Pivot tables, Macros, charts, graphs, etcEffective time management skills and the ability to work under pressureExcellent business development skillls, sales and marketingStrong presentation and communication skillsEducationBachelors Degree or equivalent work experience requiredExperience5-7 years sales and/or Sales Management experience required3-5 years management and/or Leadership experience preferredWorking ConditionsThis role must reside in the San Antonio, TX area or within close proximityStrong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customersFlexible schedule with possibility of working long hoursMust be able to deal with stressful conditions while troubleshooting problemsMust be able to operate a motor vehicle (company, personal or rental) for travelling from one work location to another work site or training locationExtensive travel (estimated at 50%) required
