OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer III to develop and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Experienced individual, skilled in precision sheet metal fabricationDesigning and optimizing sheet metal fabrication processes to achieve superior precision and product qualityCollaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, production, and quality control.Developing and implementing innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costsConducting thorough analyses of sheet metal designs, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to enhance manufacturabilityLeading continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase throughput, and maintain a competitive edge in the industryDevelop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendorsEvaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvementCarry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project managementPrepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team membersPerform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipmentCoordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating resultsCreate processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotasDevise new solutions to existing manufacturing problemsPerforms product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunitiesRequirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years' experience in a precision sheet metal fabrication environmentCapable of reading and understanding blueprint drawingsHandles fast-paced work environmentProven experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing, including deep knowledge of forming, punching, cutting, bending, and welding processesCNC programming of flat blanks in punch, laser, and combo machinesSkilled in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) for designing and simulating sheet metal components and processesSkilled in ERP systems and building process routings and bill of materialsStrong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challengesFamiliar with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologiesExcellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsEDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferredLOCATION
