OVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Press Brake Operator II to set up and operate metal bending machines (Press Brake) in accordance with quality/quantity standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPerform all dimensional inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and steel ruler to ensure production output meets requirementsPerform routine operator maintenance and operational checks on all tools and equipment utilized including tool cleaning with stone, machine oiling, fluid level/air pressure checks, safety switch functioning, etc.Based on production specifications and/or Lead's instructions, select and set-up tools, equipment and machines required for quality productions Review machine tooling requirements and plan set-up/operations to optimize flow of work through the cell/departmentUnderstand the effects of the forming process in downstream operationsMake machine/tooling adjustments to bring non-conforming output into specificationsUnderstand deflect of material and spring back along the pieceLearn to adjust and control RAM speeds on the press as it comes down to bending the partsUnderstand different types of bending and how different materials react to forming, including growth, or shrinking.Load thickness, bends, and tolerances of the materialDemonstrate a full understanding of compound tolerancesComplete reference sheets for complicated partsSet-up tooling neededAbility to make new programs on the machineAchieve and maintain any certifications required in their work areaCross trained in multiple workstationsWork completely independent without supervisionProduce quality work at company standard efficiency level for assigned work centerMeet or exceed company standard PPM levelAbility to troubleshoot and resolve issues in assigned work centerRetain the knowledge of each job RequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ years' related experience preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionKnow when to add shims (.010, .020)Know when to put different I-axis blocks Understand tooling for hemming or offsetsUnderstand V-opening in dies vs. material thickness EDUCATIONHigh School diploma.
