CNC Machinist II - Mill Department (1st Shift)

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist II who will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by efficiently operating and maintaining CNC machinery. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC operations, the ability to perform complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Under the guidance of our production team, you will contribute to the success of our manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performanceConduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and qualityMake necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specificationsPerform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needsTroubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standardsFollow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work areaAccurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control dataCollaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years' experienceProduce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basisProduce the required quantity of product according to required output specificationsUnderstand the machine operation process and the movement of completed componentsUse computers as requiredUse measuring tools as requiredRead and understand BlueprintsComplete necessary paperwork accurately and timelyOperate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervisionWork as a productive team member who contributes to the organizations' success.Handle fast-paced workDemonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnelDemonstrate dependability with good attendance
