Position Summary:Join our dynamic Procurement Team at Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc., where innovation meets excellence in designing and crafting top-tier Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment. Explore a diverse product line that includes main steam condensers, feedwater heaters, moisture separator reheaters (MSRs), and auxiliary heat exchangers.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the department, planning and directing to ensure the overall objectives of procuring all goods and services are met at or below budgets in a timely and quality manner to support project schedule requirements.Essential Responsibilities:Responsible to manage the department resources to effectively meet the Company's procurement requirements, including assignment of commodities to Buyers.Review and approve procurement strategies/plans for all commodities.Ensure all procurement tools are being utilized to the fullest extent (i.e. reverse auctions, group contracts, leverage buying, global sourcing, etc.) by developing and maintaining accurate spend forecasts.Support the proposal/estimating teams by providing current market pricing for all project related commodities, including escalation provisions, and participate in final price reviews if required.Review and approve bid tabs and Purchase Orders prepared by Commodity Buyers in accordance with Department procedures and Company Approval Matrix.Responsible to provide support to the Project Teams related to Supplier problems/issues (i.e. warranty, Back charge resolution, quality, schedule delays, invoicing, etc.).Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
B.S. in Business Administration/Management. M.B.A or advances business courses is a plus.CPM preferred or 8 plus years of purchasing experience in the power or oil & gas industry with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.Must be an excellent Team leader, highly organized, motivated, detailed oriented, analytical, assertive, excellent communicator to provide clear instructions, and have the ability to interact with all disciplines and all levels of employees.Must have general technical knowledge of ASME materials and heat exchanger product lines. Experience with large capital procurement.Knowledge of international/domestic supplier sourcing techniques, supplier qualifications and transportation logistics.Excellent people skills, negotiation, buying techniques, and clear understanding of economics.Must have risk mitigation, problem solving techniques and decision making.Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
