Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Manufacturing Engineer II for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position willbe involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledgeof statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control (SPC).Job Responsibilities
Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations in a heavy manufacturing environment.Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.May prepare manufacturing plans, create and maintain manufacturing bill of materials, and create and maintain process instruction set.May also conduct support studies and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operationsMay assign work to technical writers and/or technicianInvolved with the design, development, modification and analysis of productsTroubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as neededCompile and evaluate product design and test dataEvaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved productsResponsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factorsOnly general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as neededSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related technical field2+ years of relatedexperienceWorking knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control (SPC)Experience with machining, precision hydraulic assembly, mechanical and electromechanical assembly and product acceptance testing preferredTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
