Oxford Solutions is working with a local client seeking an experienced Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the non-profit sector as well as a CPA or MBA. This role requires a deep understanding of operational finance and a proven track record of collaborating with senior management to achieve the organization's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the executive/senior management team and program directors to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure, including systems, processes, and personnel, to support the organization's growth objectives.Provide leadership and oversight of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Guide the development and management of budgets, financial reports, and analyses to support strategic decision-making.Lead, mentor, and support the Finance Team, providing guidance and consultation as needed.Promote team development and cross-training among team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow management, audit preparation, and compliance with non-profit accounting standards and regulations.Ensure the implementation of best practices in financial management and controls.Identify and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability, supporting new business units and initiatives.Qualifications
CPA or MBA required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role, including experience in the non-profit sector and working with new business units.Strong understanding and working knowledge of operational finance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and team members.Demonstrated experience in leading and developing finance teams, with a focus on fostering professional growth and teamwork.
