Opportunity:Maintain the integrity of specific functions to comply with GAAP, and in compliance with management, valuation, and control of plant assets including (but not limited to) inventory, equipment, land and buildings.
Qualifications:
Education:B.S. Degree in Business or Accounting
Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years in General or Cost Accounting preferred
Areas of Knowledge:Clear understanding of accounting principles
Skills:PC Spreadsheets (Excel), proficient in Microsoft Access; strong analytical, organization, and communication skills; ability to work well with others.
Role Responsibilities:Review and track all raw and scrap material transactions including reconciling at monthly closing.Review and finalize costing of production orders to ensure accuracy of Finished Goods and WIP inventories.Review of inventory transactions and ledger postings to ensure accuracy of inventory and product costing.Review cycle counts for all service centers to ensure reasonableness and accuracy.Assist with annual physical inventories.Review capital invoices for tax purposes and review the weekly PO listing for potential capital expenditures.Assist with Fixed Assets when needed including policy compliance, maintaining project expenditures, processing depreciation and disposals.Assist with SOX and audit requests.
