The Role:The Director of Quality is responsible for developing and implementing quality management strategies to ensure products and services meet the high established EPC Power standards and regulations. This role involves leading quality assurance and quality management teams, establishing quality metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role focuses on developing strategies to enhance product quality, improve customer and vendor relationships.Responsibilities: Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D (engineering), manufacturing, and supply chain, to address quality issues and to establish quality objectives.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting quality awareness and best practices across the organization.Customer Quality Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive customer quality strategy to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.Feedback Management: Establish robust mechanisms for collecting and analyzing customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.Vendor Quality Management: Establish and oversee a comprehensive vendor quality management program that includes auditing, monitoring, and evaluating supplier performance.Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA/QC, SQE, QMS professionals.Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management highlighting trends, issues, and improvement initiatives.Problem Resolution: Lead cross-functional teams in addressing significant quality issues and complaints, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D.Quality Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and monitor quality performance metrics.Quality Management System (QMS): Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QMS aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain ISO 9001 certification and obtain ISO 14001.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry standards.Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement plans to mitigate identified risks associated with product quality.Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on quality related processes and documentation.RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality assurance) is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.10+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a Senior leadership role.Experience in manufacturing of Electro-Mechanical products and technical knowledge of components used in that industry.Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).Proven track record of successfully implementing quality improvement initiatives.Preferred Skills:Leadership and teambuilding abilitiesStrong understanding of ESG requirements.Experience implementing PPAP part qualification at suppliers.Strategic thinking and decision making to drive quality programsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficient in quality management tools and data analysis tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Working Conditions:This position will require occasional travel to customer & vendor sites or to company locations and may involve working outside of standard business hours to address business needs.Benefits: 401(k) MatchingHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending AccountLife InsurancePaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementPay: 175,000 -200,000
