Here are a few reasons why we’d make a great team:This role reports into the VP of Science and Innovation and is responsible for overall Corporate Quality Assurance and Quality Control, as well as Microbiology functionality at all locations. All QA Technicians, QC Chemists, and Quality Engineers will report into this role. Develop and maintain a world-class quality system that all corporate, manufacturing, and warehousing personnel will follow.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and Maintain all Quality Management, ISO and GMP standardsAssess and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality, productivity, and performanceAssure all production gets out the door on time and in specAssess, analyze, and improve all aspects of quality control functions for internal production as well as contract manufacturingInitiate, implement, and track ongoing companywide quality improvement activities (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, GMP, ISO 9001, etc.)Supervise, mentor and develop the performance of all quality staffCoordinate and conduct technical and performance training for staff, site managers, and quality personnelBe present on the production floor and in the warehouse daily. Build trust and develop excellent relationships with manufacturing employeesAssure our Quality Management System (QMS), Intellect, is always fully functional and up to date and that employees are trained on itLead and train on internal auditing, management review, and continuous improvement programsWork closely and effectively with Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, Process Engineering, Package and Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other departments companywideDevelop and analyze statistical data to determine standards and to establish quality of serviceAssure all specifications, internal standards, and status of corrective actions is always up to datePerform Mock Recall, all internal audits, and CI events on time and to schedulePrepare or supervise the preparation of a wide range of reportsComply with and ensure staff compliance with all building, HSE, regulatory, and security requirementsEnsure a high level of internal and external customer service and customer satisfactionCreate and maintain written quality policies, procedures, and protocolsAdvise and ensure quality standards are met; advise of deficiencies and ensure staff is always trained on quality proceduresRecord and manage special project issues and escalate when necessaryPerform quarterly cost of quality reports as well as monthly quality KPI reportingDevelop the Corporate Quality Plan, train on it and assure its effectivenessAssure all FG’s and Raws have documented, controlled specificationsConduct FG and Raw FIFO audits to assure proper product rotation and lifetimeWork to establish standards of service and response for sales and customers who submit complaints into our Customer Complaint SystemAssure the Corrective Action System is active and effectiveDuties, responsibilities, and tasks may change at any time with or without noticeAssume other duties, responsibilities and special projects as requiredREQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Minimum B.S. Degree in chemistry, quality engineering or a scientific discipline7-10 years’ experience in a Laboratory quality role, with a minimum of 5 years of management experienceExperience with ISO 9001/14001, GMP, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Cost of Quality, Continuous ImprovementInternal and External Audit ExperienceExperience with microbiological techniquesExcellent written and oral communicationThe ability to work well with cross-functional teams
