Job Description:
Pay Range: $75hr - $80hr
gile Framework Expertise: The RTE must be well-versed in Agile principles, frameworks, and processes.They frequently deal with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), so a thorough understanding of SAFe principles is essential.Understanding Lean-Agile practices and principles, as well as the SAFe Big Picture, is part of this.Release Train Orchestration: The RTE is primarily responsible for orchestrating and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART).Ensure alignment, prioritization, and value delivery across different Agile teams.They are in charge of program increment (PI) planning, coordination, and execution.Facilitation and Communication: Strong facilitation and communication abilities are required.The RTE facilitates important rituals like PI planning, inspect and adapt workshops, and Scrum of Scrums.They make certain that teams are aligned and focused on common goals.Problem Solving: The RTE frequently encounters difficult problems and constraints that might hinder work flow.They must detect and solve concerns as soon as possible, collaborating with teams to Client solutions and maintain progress.Metrics and Reporting: RTEs are in charge of tracking and reporting on the ART s progress.This contains data for crew performance, program progress, and the train s overall health.Decisions must be based on data.Should have used ADO for PI Planning.Continuous Improvement: The RTE is accountable for building a culture of continuous improvement as an Agile champion.They support retrospectives and assist teams in identifying opportunities for improvement in both procedures and practices.Servant Leadership: The RTE serves as a servant leader, supporting and guiding teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners.They seek to remove barriers and empower teams to effectively self-organize.Skills of a Release Train Engineer.Leadership Skills: A strong leader with the capacity to motivate and influence teams is required for an effective RTE.They provide a good example and embody the concepts of Agile and Lean thinking.Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: An RTE must be able to assess complicated challenges, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.They should be knowledgeable about root cause analysis approaches.Communication Skills: Communication must be clear, straightforward, and compassionate.The RTE must effectively communicate with teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and understanding.Technical Knowledge: While not necessarily required, having technical knowledge or experience in software development can be beneficial in understanding the ART s work and effectively conducting technical talks.Organizational Change Management: The RTE is frequently used to guide firms through Agile transitions.Understanding the principles and techniques of change management is advantageous.Conflict Resolution: Conflicts can occur inside teams as well as at the program level.To maintain a harmonious and productive atmosphere, the RTE must be skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation.SAFe Certification.
