Advanced Practice Provider - CT SurgeryFull Time81935BRJob SummaryCome join our dynamic, highly skilled CT Surgery inpatient APP team. The cardiothoracic surgery service provides advanced surgical treatments, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic and mitral valve replacement, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and heart transplantation. Our APPs, together with the CT Surgery Fellows and Physicians, operate at the top of their scope to deliver high-quality, efficient healthcare to our patients.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $78.62 - $124.28 (Hourly Rate).

Minimum one (1) year related adult cardiothoracic/cardiovascular patient care experience as a physician assistant and/or minimum 1 years of adult ICU experience as a physician assistant in a Cardiothoracic ICU/Coronary Care Unit/Cardiovascular ICU settingPosses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.
Sr. Physician Assistant:
Specific training and experience related to cardiothoracic/cardiovascular patient care as a physician assistant, minimum of 5 years of which 3 are in the most recent yearsPossess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned positionPreferred QualificationsMinimum one (1) year of OR First Assist and/or EVH experience at a high volume centerEndoscopic radial artery harvest experience at a high volume centerLicense/CertificationActive and current California Physician Assistant License (PA).California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.Current AHA BLSCurrent AHA ACLS

In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
