at every level of the company.If you are a high performing individual who is passionate about winning and inspiring others, then we are excited to discuss career opportunities with you.Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording general and administrative, club operating expenses and capital expenditures and related GL reconciliations. This individual will also assist with quarterly reviews, year-end audit requests, monthly P&L reviews, and ad hoc research projects as they arise.This individual will prepare month-end close tasks of the Company, including but not limited to recording plant, property, and equipment and software fixed assets, depreciation expense, and club operating and overhead expenses and related account reconciliations. The position will manage all new and existing capital leases.The candidate will be able to develop and maintain smooth, cooperative working relationships with all levels in the Company and cross-functional departments such as Facilities, Procurement, Capital Development, FP&A, and Accounts Payable. Qualified candidates will have a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.This position will report directly to the Senior Accountant at the Company’s corporate headquarters.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform key functions in the monthly close process including but not limited to: recording capital projects, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, accounting for disposals, review AP coding for accuracy, recording accruals and prepaids for various club and overhead expenses and related balance sheet account reconciliations.Monitor, analyze, and reconcile various expense accounts and prepare budget vs actuals analysis.Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations to support accrual, prepaid and cash balances.Build rapport with club managers to assist with monthly financial inquires.Able to work and partner effectively with other departments, such as Facilities, Capital Development, Payroll, club General Managers, and Financial Reporting.Generate periodic financial reports for monthly close and provide variance analysisAssist with preparation of various schedules and supporting documentation for the external audit and financial statementsAd hoc projects to continually improve business processes within finance team and broader company.Will work directly with several CPA, so will have opportunity to gain experience hours if a CPA candidate.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldMinimum 1-2 years of experience in a monthly end close accounting function and preparation of various financial reports.CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferredBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)Knowledge of D365 Finance and Operations and One Stream is a plusSelf-motivated, proactive thinker with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.Work both independently with limited supervision as well as in a team environment.Able to handle pressure and short deadlines with a positive attitudeExhibit willingness and ability to learn, adapt and improve the environment.Great attention to detail and highly organizedCareer-minded and goal-oriented person who can see challenges as an opportunity for future advancementsPay Transparency: Min $70K - Max $80KAdditional InformationAS A MEMBER OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:We offer competitive salary, benefits and industry leading commission opportunities for club employeesComplimentary Club membership30- 50% discounts on all Equinox products and services including Personal Training, Private Pilates, Spa and Café’ services and Shop itemsThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
