Job Details
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with either NetSuite or Sage Intacct and a background in public accounting. This position will involve managing complex financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with various departments to support our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collections.Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts.Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Conduct internal audits and recommend improvements to financial processes and controls.Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting the healthcare sector.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a public accounting role.Proficient in either NetSuite or Sage Intacct; experience with both is a plus.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
