Assist Program Officers with conceptualizing, developing, budgeting for, and socializing new Fundamental Research programs, new Technology Candidates (preFNCs), new Future Naval Capabilities (FNCs) and new Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP) Programs
Support the development of investment strategies, technology roadmaps, preparation of warfighting payoff assessments, and prepare periodic updates to the program investment plans, as requiredSupport preparation of draft briefing materials, meeting/trip agendas, reports, correspondence, and action item trackingLiaise with Senior Navy Officials and senior leadership at other Services, Department of Defense (DoD) organizations and international DoD partner services and organizationsSupport in special studies and technology advisory panels, as requiredAssist and coordinate Program Officers plans, projects and program activities with other DoD organizations and other Government agencies to support, facilitate, and avoid duplication of investmentsAssist in developing and maintaining key documents and master plans that incorporate all relevant studies and analysesTrack Department Whitepaper Submissions against the Long-Range Broad Agency AnnouncementQualifications
Must be a US CitizenActive DoD Secret ClearanceA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityA master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of experienceFive (5) years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science, including biology, chemistry, computer science, and physicsRecent experience (last 5 years) in federal acquisition and budgetingExperience in executing and reviewing technical studies, analysis, and design activitiesProficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred :Experience with DoD RDT&E program/budget exhibits & RDT&E strategic plan
