OverviewAs a Database Manager working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will work under the Navy Modernization, Planning and Sustainability Division, Naval Sea Systems Command, which is responsible for providing the Fleet and modernization stakeholders with modernization policies; Ship Change Document (SCD) processes and approvals; Navy Data Environment (NDE) and user-training; Fleet Risk Assessments; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I) Baselines; Information Technology (IT) business tools; metrics performance; and customized reports. The team will support all areas of NAVSEA Modernization Support the updates and adherence to the Navy Modernization Program Modernization and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM).

This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities

Manage the design and development of Navy Data Environment (NDE) modules at customer direction.

Update software as needed to improve user experience and adhere to policy compliance.

Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries, and maintain data correction logs.

Expand and update data dictionaries for the database and related applications.

Support implementation of technology to support implementation and integration of Microsoft ASP.NET using C#, SharePoint, Delphi, Oracle, and Java.

Support Enterprise Change Management/Virtual Configuration Control Board (ECM/VCCB) and customer-provided tools to track development and deployment of changes through AutoSIRs and Releases.

Support strategizing of implementation alternatives to meet the defined functional requirements.

Qualifications

5 or more years experience in database administration.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.

Experience with other shipboard programs interfaces (e.g. organizational maintenance management system, next generation-OMMS-NG).

Familiarity with software development concepts, practices, and procedures.

Expertise with database management, configuration, and documentation related to complex software applications.

Familiarization using C#, Oracle, SharePoint, and Java.

Active Secret clearance.
