Overview

As the Programmer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will work under the Navy Modernization, Planning and Sustainability Division, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), which is responsible for providing the Fleet and modernization stakeholders with modernization policies; Ship Change Document (SCD) processes and approvals; Navy Data Environment (NDE) and user-training; Fleet Risk Assessments; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I) Baselines; Information Technology (IT) business tools; metrics performance; and customized reports. The team will support all areas of NAVSEA Modernization Support the updates and adherence to the Navy Modernization Program Modernization and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM).This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.Working at Hepburn and Sons LLCWorking at Hepburn means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of today. Provide support in all areas of business process reengineering, strategizing and planning with regard to the alignment of information systems functionality to meet the goals set by NAVSEA.Assist with the development of Software Architecture Documents and wire framing of proposed applications.Provide input to System Security Authorization and Accreditation documents, System Interface Agreements and any Memorandums of Understanding/Agreement when interfaces with external information systems are required.Analyze functional NDE application and design specifications for functional activities.Apply test first practices to unit and acceptance tests.Test, debug, and refine computer software.Qualifications

Bachelor degree in computer science (Desired)5 or more years' experience in SW programmingExperience with other shipboard programs interfaces (e.g., organizational maintenance management system, next generation-OMMS-NG) (Desired)Familiarity with software development concepts, practices and proceduresFamiliarity with software documentation at program and user levelUnderstanding of Navy Modernization processActive Secret clearance
