Overview
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join our team at our headquarters in White Plains, NY. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule and a competitive salary. You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects related to revenue and receivables between our billing and financial systems, reporting directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager. The compensation range is $68,000 - $76,000/year.
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Extract data from billing system to prepare monthly entries for the financial system.
Review and reconcile receivable and income accounts monthly- Revenue Reporting.
Reconcile cash receipts between the bank deposits, the general ledger and the electronic billing system.
Prepare aged accounts receivable report and calculate allowance for doubtful accounts for management review.
Assist outside auditors with financial data retrieval and analysis.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Expertise with Billing, Accounts Receivable and GL systems (Intacct experience strongly preferred).
Three years of medical billing, accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency with automated billing, spreadsheet, and word processing programs a must.
Knowledge of Accounts Receivables system and GL systems preferred.
