Visit cpkcr.com to learn about the CPKC advantage, our purpose and culture.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Virtualization Specialist is responsible for crafting, implementing, and handling virtualization solutions using technologies such as VMware, Wyse, VSphere, Horizon, AVD, AWS, and Azure. This role also involves resolving and fixing sophisticated network and security issues, improving performance, and offering technical support and mentorship to other team members.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Design, implement, and manage virtualization solutions using Horizon, Wyse, AVD, AWS, and Citrix.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues related to virtualization and its operating systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of virtualization solutions with existing infrastructure.Monitor and optimize the performance of virtualized environments to ensure high availability and reliability.Develop and maintain documentation for virtualization processes and procedures.Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.Configure, deploy, and manage software, including security agents, in virtual environments.Process ServiceNow requests and provision users.Ensure security patches are applied in accordance with the ServiceNow Vulnerability Management Program.Participate in workstation on-call rotation.Migrate users and compute resources to support integration and manage certificates.Support and maintain CMA Wyse Thin clients, RPA Automation Service, and virtual client base.Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.Minimum of 7+ years of experience in configuring and maintaining virtual machines, hypervisors, and related infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to virtualization technologies.Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to virtualization technologies such as VMware, Wyse, vSphere, Horizon, AVD, AWS, and Azure, including configuring and maintaining virtual machines, hypervisors, and related infrastructure.Skilled in performance optimization to address performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.WHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:Flexible and competitive benefits packageCompetitive company pension and/or retirement plansEmployee Share Purchase PlanPerformance Incentive ProgramAnnual Fitness SubsidyADDITIONAL INFORMATION:As an employer with North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.Drug Test Elements:CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public.
