We are a 4 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full-time Project Engineer level II for our Bridgeton, MO facility. As a Project Engineer level II at Leonardo DRS Land Systems, you will be responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget. A successful candidate will be a resourceful and self-motivated individual and will have a proven track record of effectively leading multi-disciplined engineering teams on both small and large projects. As a Project Engineer, you will serve as the interface between the engineering technical team and other departments within the organization, including Program Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Responsibilities are complex in scope and will require an individual to act independently to manage multiple assignments.Job Responsibilities
Responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget.Ensure design compliance with all project requirements.Review customer specifications and requirements, and lead a project team to develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required.Participate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals.Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress.Lead project team(s) as assigned.Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings.Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of experience.Demonstrated experience leading an engineering team consisting of multiple disciplines.Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge.Demonstrated experience with Project Planning and execution.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
