Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator – CCC Systems Maintenance (Engineering) (24-270) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to technically diagnose, mitigate/troubleshoot issues, and contribute to an on-site team providing 24x7 support to the C2BMC application suites globally dispersed in different time zones.

Lead or participate in system/networking troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance activities, including on-site and/or telephonic maintenance support.

Serve as a C2BMC application subject matter expert, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break-fix, and preventative maintenance actions, which involve interaction with remote C2BMC sites and different levels of leadership within the C2BMC Command Center.

Must be a self-starting problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling individual projects and working with limited supervision.

Must have the knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate, and manage services under C2BMC operational control.

Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

10 years with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field; 8 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field OR 14 years experience in lieu of a degree.

Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

Must have experience in server system administration and troubleshooting analysis on some or all platforms: Linux, Windows servers, and Windows clients.

Must have experience with Windows Domain Controllers.

Must possess experience with PKI infrastructure and setting up certificates on Windows Domain Controllers.

Must know about IBM DataPower products and troubleshooting certificates with DataPower proxies.

Must have solid troubleshooting, log analysis, and problem-solving techniques.

Must have experience with VMware products, ESXi, vCenter, virtual machines, and clustering.

Must be knowledgeable in Windows and Redhat system administration, software installation, and patch management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

Prior experience with VMware products and storage systems is a plus.

Experience with Juniper network devices or basic networking skills is a plus.

Familiar with imaging software, creating/installing ISO, and staging software for installation across the network.

Previous experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense.

Scripting on Linux, UNIX, or Windows servers and Windows Workstations.

Salary Range:

$109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
