Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.Position Description:The University Libraries is seeking a Systems Programmer IV (IT Systems Analyst IV) to serve as a server administrator.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the application administrator of the library information system, WorldShare Management System/WorldCat Discovery (WMS/WCD). Major activities include but are not limited to:Manage the patron load process.Chair the University Libraries WMS Workgroup, and attend meetings of the Libraries functional sub-groups.Create and maintain programming solutions for WMS-related issues.Create, manage, and maintain system-related automation scripts.Assist with the resolution of computing issues.Serve as the application administrator of systems or applications, especially those that interoperate with WMS. Major activities include but are not limited to:The Robotic Retrieval System (RRS), including the interface between WMS and RRS, related control systems, and pick stations.ILLiad, the interlibrary loan system, including system configuration and maintenance.The database for High-Density Storage (HDS).Serve as the primary Linux-based server administrator and a backup for the other system administrators. Major activities include but are not limited to:Manage all the Linux-based servers.Assist in maintaining the Libraries' VM cluster virtual center, backup server (Veeam), database server, and media servers.Assist in managing the Libraries' web server domains.Serve as a backup for the proxy server administration.Serve as a data analyst and provide technical support to the Libraries' data analytics projects.
